When I formed Touched By Elvis® in May, of 2000, my main goal was to provide a fan club which promoted Elvis in a loving, respectful manner. I also wanted it to allow his fans to share the love of Elvis, while learning more about him, not only as an incredible entertainer, but also as an incredible human being.  The gifts Elvis gave us cannot be measured simply by our tremendous enjoyment of his music, or even by his continued influence on music of every genre. Elvis gave the gift of sharing himself, his time, his talent, and his tremendous love of man kind to all of us. He was generous beyond anyone's standards, never forgetting his humble beginnings. Following his example, Touched By Elvis® supports the work of Presley Place, the Humane Society, and other worthwhile charitable endeavors. To know Elvis is to know he would support those causes if he were alive today.  Members of Touched By Elvis® come from all over the United States, as well as other countries. They may vary greatly in age, or lifestyle, but they have one common bond... the great love we all share for Elvis. He has a way of bringing people together from all walks of life!  I had the pleasure January 5, 2001, of welcoming Dakota Aaron Kennedy Smith, to Touched By Elvis®. Dakota is the son of members Pete Smith, and Jennifer Kennedy. He joined my fan club via his parent's permission the day he was born. We believe that made Dakota the youngest member of any Elvis fan club world-wide! What an honor it is for me that Dakota achieved that status through Touched By Elvis®! (Hugs & Kisses to you, Dakota!)
