ABOUT US: My name is Holly Corbett,and I live in Minneapolis,Minnesota. I was born in San Fransico,CA.We returned to my mothers' native Minnesota after my father was killed in an auto accident in 1966. My mother instilled in me her work ethic,and a love for all animals! As a child I had many pets--snakes,small lizzards,hermit crabs,hamsters, and rabbits.when I was 4 we adopted a beautiful Siamese cat,"Jo-Jo".Allergies run on both sides of my family,and sadly "Jo-Jo" had to be placed in a new home when I was 7. When I was 11,(1976)Mom decided we could have a dog,and I had picked one out at the famous "Daytons orphan animal sale",held in Southdale shoping center(Southdale,in Edina,Mn.,has the destinction of being the first fully enclosed shopping mall in the U.S., ©1966) I had picked out a Yellow Lab/Staffordshire Terrier mix puppy who was almost snow white."Snoopy" was our failthful friend for over 12 years.we lost him to liver cancer-so common in aged domestic dogs. In 1980,a pet grooming shop opened in my neighborhood.I went to check it out,and saw a white Standard Poodle there.he belonged to one of the groomers." Rudy" was fascinating,and soon I was hooked! I purchased Rudy's younger brother,Jonathon,and that is where I started. I never bred a litter of Standard Poodles,however. In the late '80's a darling Toy Poodle cought my eye,and she became my first AKC champion, CH.Mandermer Shirley T. Now,many years later,her great-grandson Simon is our 5th homebred Champion!!

WOLFIE

JANUARY,1997 This photo was taken by a reporter and appeared in the St.Paul Pioneer-Press! This day Wolfie won,and needed 1 point for his AKC championship,which he got in April of '97. Wolfie was my fist "owner-handled" (meaning i trained, groomed, and showed him myself!) AKC Champion! he has been neutered,and now at the age of 9,is a happy retired boy!

Here is my Standard Poodle,Ruby,as a 12 week old puppy.She is now 8 years old.Sitting in the chair in my DMH cat,Summer.Standard Poodles love Kitties! Ruby loves to play games with Summer.

SNOOPY,our first dog.

Snoopy came from the Daytons Orphan Animal sale in June,1976.He appeared to be a mix of Lab and Staffordshire Bull Terrier.He lived to 13 years old.he was quite different from my Poodles!
